News, Timelines, and Future Updates

Hey there you!

I know (I really do) it’s been a few more days than usual since my latest review. That is DEFINITELY not because I was lying around, or going out to party, or lazy. There are two reasons. First, I was (and still am) seriously behind in my TBR list. And second, the app on my IPad decided to stop working and I’ve trying to get it up and running again, which took some time, but it’s finally done!

Ok. So what’s next you may ask?

  1. I have sorted my read books on Goodreads and will be adding a new item in the menu up there (as soon as I figure out how) to my complete TBR list. I’m telling you this because that list is composed of the books I actually have on my hands or on my reader, and are prepared to be read. (And this is for review requests: ) If your book is not there and you submitted it for review, please email the file again (if it was a paperback, it means that either I haven’t gotten it yet or I forgot to add it) and demand that I add it. PLEASE!

  2. It will probably be a few days until I’m able to write and post new reviews. I’ll be leaving for a short vacation, which I REALLY need and I might not have connectivity to post. So please be patient with me and stay put, because as soon as I’m back, there’ll be a LOT to review, since I plan on catching up on reading.

  3. There will be an interview with the adorably funny Mr. McCormack (author of the fabulous Clipped) in May, so I’m preparing that. If you have any questions you’d like to see answered, post them in the comments and I’ll do my best to include them. Just be quick ;)

  4. I will be linking the images on every book information I add on the reviews to the corresponding buying site on Amazon. So if you intend to buy the book, please use it. I’ll use the small income to save money on books, so I can pay for hosting and improvements to the site.

That’s about all for now folks!

Keep in touch! I expect to hear from all of you!

Stay cool and keep reading!

Masquerade by Nyrae Dawn

2.5 Stars (2.5 / 5)

In this third installment in the Games series, Ms. Dawn got up to a good start but rushed the ending so much that it lost point just as fast as the plot unraveled—which was very fast.

Maddox Cross (Delaney Cross’ broody brother – Facade, Games #2), meets Bee in the night club he works at and they have a one night stand. Lights on and aspiring tattoo artist Maddox falls into Bee’s recently open tattoo parlor asking to apprentice. They begin a series of heated encounters swearing to not repeat them and falling into it again and again.

Panic by Lauren Oliver

2 Stars (2 / 5)

It’s not the fact that the story is unrealistic or impossible to believe what detracts from this book. I, for one, can accept a plot premise like the best of us, and go through the pages with that premise believed as true, no matter how impossible it is to believe; the great books make you believe it against all odds. It’s not just the poor character development or the twists that seem to tailspin to give background or valuable reasons to the characters. It’s just that it lacks something that Ms. Oliver has done before; the desperation. Maybe it’s not that the book is not good, just that I was expecting more.

Tied With Me by Kristen Proby

3 Stars (3 / 5)

Just as with Safe With Me, this sixth installment of the With Me In Seattle series, is dependable for fans of the series. It is still cheesy and fluffy with hot scenes.

Nic Dalton meets Matt Montgomery at a fetish festival that her best friend dragged her to and they have a one-night stand. Matt likes his women wrapped up in his ropes, but Nic catches his eye in a different way and knows he would never get enough of her. Their night is cut short and they never exchange phone numbers, so Nic resigns to never seeing him again.

Sinner at the Altar by Olivia Cunning

2.5 Stars (2.5 / 5)

If you loved the Sinners on Tour series, you are going to be into this set of novellas. Each one focuses on one of the Sinners band member’s wedding day and gives us an insight into the events that goes on mostly out of the scope of each novel; except for Trey. We don’t get much about the beautiful bisexual rockstar, because he is supposed to get more attention within Reagan’s story that will be included in the Exodus End series.

So Brian, Sed, Eric and Jace’s wedding stories are shortly panned in this compilation of novellas. If you love Sinners, this is a great way to not miss them so much.
